And the quest begins

I just created my very own Second Life avatar. My name is Mynah Kidd. I feel pretty ambivalent about the whole Second Life thing - I have heard and read stories of people becoming addicted to their second selves, having lots of sex, ignoring their significant others to the point of relationship-failure, spending way too much real money for fake land and houses...the list goes on. I am just really curious to check it out. And, like MySpace and Friendster, it will probably be fun for a week or so, and then I'll tire of it and find something else to do. I've never been one to spend hours and hours in front of the computer, anyway.

So, wish me luck. I plan to stay sane.
